Lafayette was in Italy!

Lafayette had appeared with Allan Harris at the Umbria Jazz Festival to bring in the New Year of 2009 and he was there again to bring in this brand new decade. Happy 2010!

Lafayette was at The Blue Note!

Lafayette appeared at The Blue Note again with his trio on Nov. 29, 2009. This was his followup to his 2008 appearance of leading a group at the Blue Note a club where so much of his New York jazz experience took place.

Lafayette's newest CD TRIO TALK was released May of 2008.

Lafayette was in Bolzano, at the Südtirol Jazz Festival back in June, and then was back in Italy again for the Roccella Jazz Festival, in Roccella Jonica.

The Open mic is still going at the Lenox Lounge

After six years Lafayette is still hosting this open mic jam session every Sunday from 7 - 11 pm. Many people have come from all over the world, to sing one song with Lafayette and his trio.

Besides Lafayette, the ever swinging band features Paul Beaudry on bass and Dion Parson on drums.

Lafayette with Christy Smith

Lafayette visited Asia in Feb. 2008

Lafayette went to Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok and Chiang Mai back in February of this year. He learned a lot about Asian culture and heard some good jazz players.

Here he is sitting in with Christy Smith bassist and leader of the house band at Harry's Bar in Singapore.

Lafayette is again performing with Ernestine Anderson

Lafayette recently played with the one and only Ms. Ernestine Anderson, at the Iridium this past February. Then again back in April at Dizzy's Coca Cola, NYC. They will play the Albany Jazz Festival on Sept. 6th, 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm, and look for them back at Dizzy's next Valentine week!
